I used this by mounting it inside an existing open faced kitchen cabinet to create a plate rack and it worked perfectly! Great size and quite sturdy; the finish on it is nice too!

This product is 15.2" in length with eight slots for plates. My kitchen cabinet is 23" wide (inside measurement), so I bought two racks. I cut one down to make a 7.5" rack and glued it onto the other 15.2" rack. Now I have one rack just under 23" long that fits nicely onto one of the shelves in my cabinet. It has 12 slots rather than eight. I use it for six 9" square plates and six round plates, 8.5" in diameter.
If you intend to use this rack as a pot lid holder you should remember that the handles take up space. Expect to use every other slot for this situation.
If you intend to use plates greater than an inch and a quarter in depth you will find that the plates do not lean back properly; they fall forward, touching the neighboring plate.
A good buy for what it is.
