Handle is so rough it feels painful to hold, needs to be sanded down better! Angry. Should have gotten that more expensive one I saw here, the Tom something.
Straining Ladle April 21, 2010 F. Hoffman This ladle should work great for canning and frying as it is wide, and very well balanced.

No need for a strainer, and definitely less grease transferred when frying.
I've seen these around, but not of this quality. This one will last awhile...
