Product Description
Bamboo steamers are typically used for cooking Chinese dim sum, but have many virtues that make them handy for all types of food. The domed lid traps steam efficiently and the two baskets can be stacked to accommodate different foods in each level. These steamers are usually used inside a wok (be sure your wok is about 2" wider than the 10" baskets) but can also be set over a stockpot.

Both boiling and microwaving vegetables causes a significant reduction in the vitamins in vegetables. This never really mattered to me until my son was of the age to want bite-sized soft vegetables that he could feed himself. Then, I pulled out this old steamer that I had had for years (and never used! Shame on me!) Imagine my surprise to find that it was exactly what I needed! Now, not only do I steam my son's meals, but my husband and I are learning to eat a lot more steamed fish and vegetables as well. This steamer works very well, is easy to use and easy to clean, and adds to the health of your cooking! It's a good deal.

Been meaning to get one of these for a while and was not disappointed when I finally got around to it. Worked even better than I remembered from years ago. Even my niece volunteered that the vegetables cooked in it tasted better. And things cook so fast you won't believe it.

Love this steamer. I use it often especially as a last minute veggie steamer. I will use the steamer and the ring to steam veggies over pasta water for example.
