Made by German knife manufacturer Wüsthof, this 12-by-8-by-1-inch board is sized for small tasks--such as chopping a handful or ginger, julienning a pepper, or slicing a lemon. Plus, the board is light enough for transferring ingredients from the opposite end of the kitchen to the stovetop. This versatile tool is also reversible, with a cutting surface on either side. I purchased this cutting board about a month ago, and I love it. It's pretty small, so it probably won't serve all your cutting needs, but it's perfect for cutting cheese or small quantities of vegetables or meat. Its size also makes it easy to put away. It feels solid, cleans easily, and the underside has pads so it doesn't rub directly on the countertop. I definitely prefer it over the plastic cutting boards that I've used previously, which have tended to warp.

For small jobs this is a great cutting board. Bamboo is hard enough so it doesn't show knife marks like other softer woods. I like the fact that bamboo is a sustainable product. The color is really nice too.
I clean my wood boards with soap and water followed by some white vinegar to make sure it's almost sterile. You can use lemon juice too but white vinegar is less expensive.

I purchased this item for a Christmas gift, and it never arrived. It was inexpensive, so I didn't bother to contact Amazon, but it is a shame that Amazon endorses companies which appear to take advantage of customers over the Christmas period.

This cutting board was much smaller than i had anticipated. I don't remember the amazon site giving the dimensions. So i didn't look and i was disappointed. But it's there for every cutting need, just in a smaller area.
